Officers from the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) issued a penalty ticket for a van driver on a mobile phone, with defective lights and tyres, insecure loads and an overloaded vehicle in Grimsby.
Along with the van, 10 roadside prohibitions were spotted and about 15 tickets were issued for offenders.
The action was taken as part of a joint operation involving North East Lincolnshire Council (NELC) Environmental Enforcement and licensing officers, Humberside Police and DVSA in Scartho Road, Grimsby.
Environmental Enforcement officers opened 32 cases in connection with waste carrier infractions and drivers that did not produce waste transfer notes throughout the operation.
During the multi-agency operation, Environmental Enforcement personnel from the NELC fined 15 individuals for waste carrier legislation violations.
Cllr Ron Shepherd, portfolio holder for Safer and Stronger Communities, said:
“By working together with other agencies, we can clamp down on a wider range of offences.”
