Just recently, in Gonerby, police from the Lincolnshire Policing Unit were alerted to a vehicle carrying an illicit and poorly secured load.

Despite the fact that their vehicle did not possess a Vehicle Registration Mark (VRM), law enforcement officers reported and taught the driver on proper load safety before they were removed from the vicinity.  Now, let’s dive into the specifics of how this issue was solved.

Lincolnshire Police were notified of a suspicious vehicle in Gonerby transporting an uncertain load, launching the incident. After conducting a thorough examination at the pullover site, the officers declared that the load was not firmly secured and had become a potential risk to both the driver inside the car and other drivers, cyclists or pedestrians passing nearby.

And so, this led to them swiftly intervening by obstructing the vehicle from continuing its journey at that time!

Police officers on site reported the driver of the vehicle and provided valuable education on load safety before asking them to safely remove the load. Contrary to expectations, there was also no VRM present on the vehicle, which the officers also addressed.

It’s an immense relief to know that Lincolnshire Police are doing their utmost to protect our roads by stopping any cars with improper or dangerous cargo. Of course, it’s important that we make sure our vehicles are loaded and secured correctly when driving in order to prevent any potential problems!

Fortunately, the situation concluded with only marginal consequences for all, but instances like this in the future may not be so lucky! Let us strive to prevent similar incidents in future by following loading safety protocols carefully and responsibly.
