In Bradford, a person was charged with driving an overweight van, which was filled with Coca-Cola bottles.

The driver was stopped on by Bradford South and Roads Policing Unit officers on Tong Street, Bradford.

After doubting the vehicle was overweight, the RPU confirmed the same by weighing.

The white Mercedes-Benz Sprinter was transporting several crates of two-litre Coca-Cola bottles.

The West Yorkshire Police Operation Steerside Team, which is dedicated to combating reckless, illegal, and antisocial vehicle usage, stated “This vehicle was stopped on Tong Street by our Roads Policing Unit (RPU) colleagues working alongside us in the Bradford South area”.

“The officer’s suspicion of it being overweight was confirmed at the weighbridge, resulting in the vehicle being prohibited and the driver being reported to court.”
